Frequently asked questions

How do I invoice for tracked hours?
Log hours against a project as you work, then create an invoice and pick the entries it covers. The line items, quantities and totals come from the time you tracked — nothing is retyped. Export the finished invoice as a PDF or a CSV.
How do I add VAT to a freelance invoice?
Set a VAT rate on each entry as you log or edit it. The invoice reports the total, the VAT and any discount separately, so one mixing several rates still comes out right without a spreadsheet.
Can I bill hourly, at a fixed price, or per item?
All three, and one invoice can mix them: every entry carries its own pricing model — an hourly rate times the hours, a fixed price for a piece of work, or a unit price times a quantity.
Can I invoice a client in another currency?
Yes. Currency is set per project, so each client can be billed in theirs, and the invoice and its PDF follow the project. Amounts are never converted between currencies — each is totalled on its own.
Can I share a project with a client or subcontractor?
Invite them by email and they get read-only access to that project's time logs and invoices — useful for a subcontractor billing through you, or for keeping a client in the loop without sending spreadsheets. Nothing else in your account is visible to them.
Is my invoicing data private and secure?
Your data is yours. We don't sell or share it. Sessions are managed with secure HTTP-only cookies and traffic is encrypted end-to-end.
